Join the watch
Wellness Works Glendale is honored to host the 4th Annual NOT ON OUR WATCH event to bring awareness to the 22 Veterans who lose their lives to suicide every day. Currently, there are more veteran deaths attributed to suicide than killed in action in both wars fought in Iraq and Afghanistan. Suicide is a battle veterans and their families cannot fight alone. Each year, Veterans from across the nation come together to stand watch night and day to honor the memories of their fallen brothers and sisters lost to the tragedies of war.
As participants take their posts on the bridge, they are asked to wear a dog tag that commemorates the Veteran being honored. At the end of their patrol, the dog tag is placed upon the battle field cross, erected near the entrance of the bridge to honor our brothers and sisters whom the nation has lost.
ALL are encouraged, welcomed, and invited to observe this vigil in support of our Veterans. Join The Watch and unite under our movement to stop the silent epidemic of suicide from spreading further among our heroes. Join our ranks in unison to tell the nation, no more Veteran suicides; not on our watch.
