Wellness Works is asking for your support to raise awareness regarding Veteran suicide and our work to prevent it by participating in our NOT ON OUR WATCH event September 13-15 at Verdugo Park in Glendale.
Wellness Works’ Veterans created the annual NOT ON OUR WATCH (NOOW) cause/event five years ago to bring awareness to the 22 veterans who lose their lives to suicide every day. Currently, there are more veteran deaths attributed to suicide than killed in action in both wars fought in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Each year at our multi-day event, veterans from across the Southern California region come together to stand watch night and day to honor fellow military brothers and sisters who have taken their life. NOOW participants and supporters use those 48 hours to raise awareness regarding the 22 veterans we lose each day to focus on our services 365 days a year - to promote our comprehensive continuum care of healing modalities, psycho educational therapy, as well as peer and community support and local resources to create and restore long term hope, healing, health and wellness to our Vets.
We invite you to be a part of our campaign and event through sponsorship and/or attendance during “The Watch” which will take place during National Suicide Prevention and Awareness month.

We hope you’ll join us by remembering the Veterans we’ve lost to suicide and support the Veterans who live with the help of our life saving services. We encourage you to share this post with others and ask for their support. Please contact us if you have any questions!
