Five years ago, Wellness Works’ Veterans created the annual NOT ON OUR WATCH (NOOW) event to bring awareness to the 22 veterans who lose their lives to suicide every day. Currently, there are more veteran deaths attributed to suicide than killed in action in both wars fought in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Each year, veterans from across Southern California come together to stand watch night and day to honor fellow military brothers and sisters who have taken their life. We invite you to be a part of our campaign and event through fundraising, sponsorship, and/or attendance during “The Watch” which will take place during National Suicide Prevention and Awareness month: SEPTEMBER 13-15, 2019 AT VERDUGO PARK in Glendale, California.
